Sean Ryan

As a youth, Sean made use of the HSE-funded youth music support programmes in Galway City and cultivated his lifelong musicianship, particularly the drums. He has taught music professionally since 2013 and has performed internationally. Sean studied for more than 3 years at the prestigious London College of Contemporary Music, where he had the privilege of studying under the late great Pete Zeldman as well as renowned session drummer and MD Richard Brook. Sean is particularly interested in youth teaching and doing his part to introduce the next generation to the joy of music. He teaches drums at Athenry Music School and leads an up and coming Brazilian Samba drumming ensemble.
