Ronan O'Flaherty - Fiddle/Violin
Ronan is a graduate of the UL World Academy degree in Irish Traditional Music and completed all grades in Classical Violin through the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
He is also a multiple winner of All-Ireland medals on the fiddle. With over 20 years live performance and 8 years teaching experience on the fiddle, Ronan has been immersed in the best of Galway's world famous Irish music tradition for most of his life and is committed to passing on the tradition to the next generation of players.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE: 2007- Present
Ronan has taught fiddle to children and adults of all ages, and currently teaches children through Irish in Gaelscoil Dara, Galway City and Gaelscoil Riada Athenry. He has also hosted fiddle workshops in Ireland, America, France, Australia and New Zealand.
A fluent Irish speaker, Ronan is a highly skilled and experienced teacher with a great track record of helping students achieve their full potential. He believes the best way to pass on his talent is by motivating, encouraging and rewarding students toward the ultimate goal of playing in sessions. Roan will be hosting a regular begginners session in Tigh Choili's for students of Galway Music Academy.
Ronan has toured Ireland and the world extensively, teaching and playing Irish music in England, France,Germany, Italy, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. He is currently the fiddle player in legendary trad group De Danann, where his performance skills, confidence and ability to perform under pressure are constantly improving. When not touring Ronan plays regular sessions in Tigh Choili, Galway.
2006 duet album with concertina player Edel Fox. Recorded on many live albums including Rogha Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy 2007 CD and Corrofin Trad live.
Ronan is currently in the process of recording a solo abum.
